2024 Camp Schedule

 For Ages 7-13

9am - 12 pm daily, Tues. through Thurs.

Basic Camps (no pre-requisites, open to all)

$195 per camper per session

Survival Skills Camp - May 28-30 or July 1-3

Learn the wilderness way! Shelter building, archery, rope making, knot tying, lashing, woodwork, obstacle course and more. Kick off the summer with some outdoor fun!

Basic Ranch Camp - June 4-6

Pull up your boots and get ready to ranch! This camp introduces you to all aspects of Smilin' Ranch. We'll learn to milk cows, tag calves, ride horses, feed and care for animals, rope, churn butter, and make a daily craft. Interact with all the animals on the ranch!

Basic Horse Camp - June 11-13

Horses, horses, and more horses!  Geared directly towards the equine enthusiast, this base level camp introduces you to the world of horses. Learn safe handling, grooming, feed and care, anatomy, simple first aid, saddling, riding, and lots of fun!

Advanced Camps (for returning campers only)

$375 per camper per session

Advanced Ranch Camp - June 18-20

Learn to be a top hand! This advanced version of our popular ranch camp will have more roping, horse riding, and cattle handling skills. Expand your cowboy knowledge with fence fixing, livestock nutrition and care, equipment use and care, and more! Limit of 10 students.

Advanced Horse Camp - June 25-27

Time to hit the trails!  Open to previous camp participants or students who take lessons with us. This camp will expand on your equestrian experience, with riding skills both in and out of the arena, games on horseback, and basic cattle driving. Limit of 10 students.

Horse Lessons and Coaching

Ages 7-99

$60/single lesson, $180/four lesson package

Beginner/Intermediate Lessons

Dive deep into horsemanship with lessons teaching you not only how to ride, but how to catch, groom, saddle, and care for one of our experienced lesson horses. You'll learn how a horse thinks and how to influence them safely, which leads to a ton of fun!

The package provides a month worth of lessons with our partner, Westfold Equine, at Smilin' Ranch. Lessons are structured as either one hour, weekly OR two hours, biweekly. (Discount is given for lessons purchased in monthly package, but a single lessons are also available.)

 ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!

 Lessons are only offered on Mondays and Thursdays. Head to our checkout portal to sign up, select your preferred day and we will contact you after purchase with available time slots.

Intermediate/Advanced Coaching

This program is geared toward existing horse owners that are looking for coaching and mentorship on their riding or training journey. We will take you and your horse from where you are, and assist you in achieving your individual goals, whether that be recreational riding, showing, competing, or addressing problem areas on the ground or while riding. Our focus is building a solid foundation of understanding, respect, and responsiveness in the horse and in the human for a successful partnership.
